UPDATE: I have been granted Admin privileges, so if you need to edit your pin, or remove it, PM me
I have often wondered where all of the Vanagonauts are. My feeling, based on stated locations in the avatar block, is that about 85% are in CA/OR/WA area. I think there might be about 10 in Texas, where I am. I could be way off on both accounts.
I submit this pin map as an invitation to illustrate the general concentrations of Sambanista Vanagonauts of the World.

Realizing there may be some privacy/theft concerns and general mistrust, I suggest that if you would like to participate, that you DO NOT place a pin in your exact location, but rather in a general location (like the center of the town you live in). I have placed the first one, which is actually pretty close to home, but not exactly.
Instructions are pretty easy. Just add a simple pin. Scroll does not work. Left or right double-click to zoom in or out.

Somebody stick about two dozen pins in Bozeman, MT for me. That should just about cover my town and I suspect half of us aren't on the Samba. _________________ '91 Westfalia GL Automatic (GTA "Turbo" Rebuild w/Peloquin) and 2.3L GoWesty Engine |

I actually did look. Of course, I didn't look for the term "registry". If you'd like to delete the post, as it duplicates another, please do. This one, however only places the general location, and nothing more. No VIN's or other more intrusive info.

The 85% figure might approach accuracy if you add British Columbia to the other left coasters |

The jack-holes in Washington that keep stealing Vanagons could probably add a few pins. Lets see, I stole this one last Thursday, this one a week ago... _________________ Tim Potts

A true Vanagon map, it broke down 2 miles from the house. _________________ Tim Potts

LOL! Maybe I didn't read the fine print. I figured there would be some hang up at some point. Let me get a look tomorrow and see if it's gonna break the bank. |

New pin map. Unlimited pins. I tested to three pins and it worked. Let's see how it goes! |

Shameless bump, just to show progress. Actually, a wider spread than I thought, so far. We do have what looks to be an enclave forming in the PNW, as I suspected.
