|
|
I bought a complete set of TMI seat covers with matching sunvisors about a year ago when my car was in pieces and I decided to do the upholstery while others were working on the body. I think the body was at media blasting at the time. I even posted my progress on a new thread:
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=598870&highlight=tmi+covers
The seats and door cards are ready to be installed, and the car is ready to receive them.
But then this, when I started at the sunvisors:
Really? How come then the sunvisors don't fit?

slide it a little towards the clip. It looks like it was pushed down on the mounting arm. |

That's correct! TMI pushed the arm all the way in for packaging purposes. _________________ The glory never gets old, just need new paint.

Yes, you're right. I had to use quite a bit of force, and the arm came right off, but went back in okay.
Thanks. problem solved. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

Make sure when you slide it off the arm, you still feel tension. The white pin also pulls out a little.
My type 3 don't reach so I pulled them form the mounting arm, but arm is too short so it flops down or falls off. I am having them look at the design to see how we can fix it. _________________ Mario De Leon

Mine are repro too, I think. Main problem I have is the pins diameter seems too slim, not enough friction to stay up. |

That's great news. Any chance that TMI would try to make a repro with the same texture as the original? I keep grabbing used original ones and running them until the sun destroys them. But supplies are running out . . . |

Yes, and we all know that size matters, eh Darrel? _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly
