I bought a complete set of TMI seat covers with matching sunvisors about a year ago when my car was in pieces and I decided to do the upholstery while others were working on the body. I think the body was at media blasting at the time. I even posted my progress on a new thread:

The seats and door cards are ready to be installed, and the car is ready to receive them.

But then this, when I started at the sunvisors:

Really? How come then the sunvisors don't fit?

slide it a little towards the clip. It looks like it was pushed down on the mounting arm.

That's correct! TMI pushed the arm all the way in for packaging purposes.

Yes, you're right. I had to use quite a bit of force, and the arm came right off, but went back in okay.

Thanks. problem solved.

Make sure when you slide it off the arm, you still feel tension. The white pin also pulls out a little.

My type 3 don't reach so I pulled them form the mounting arm, but arm is too short so it flops down or falls off. I am having them look at the design to see how we can fix it.

Mine are repro too, I think. Main problem I have is the pins diameter seems too slim, not enough friction to stay up.

That's great news. Any chance that TMI would try to make a repro with the same texture as the original? I keep grabbing used original ones and running them until the sun destroys them. But supplies are running out . . .
