|
|
Hi Folks
I think the Hood release cable should be in further than it is. I think the hole in the tab on the cable should align with the hole in the cable tube. I can not get it to go in any further and I am not sure how these are installed. I have tried to pull the cable housing in the front and it will not move. I have tried to push the cable in further on the inside of the car and it will not move any further in. Any suggestions or ideas what if anything is wrong. Maybe it is suppose to be like that I am not sure.
Thanks
Gerald

Mine looks exactly like yours. I will be anxious to hear from someone who knows if it should look like that. It doesnt seem right to me either? _________________ Change is Opportunity!

The cable should be installed so that the holes align.
That's where the padlock goes (to lock the trunk).
I think the "correct" padlock looks like this:

If you push hard enough the cable will move in so the holes align. It will move just takes some pressure. I put a small clamp on the cable inside the trunk to stop it from pulling back inside the glove box.

The housing looks fine, but you need to loosen the clamp screw on the latch and adjust the inner cable. _________________ Is your suspension broken? |
