A huge swath of population thinks it’s normal to live In deserts, and can’t comprehend that a car without AC is functional.
Our heat goes off end of March, and we don’t climate control our house until mid October until the first gas fireplace turns on.
In a mild climate you can sell a non AC car at will and can more than recover the loss selling the pieces to the 70+-1 crowd. _________________ .ssS! |

Yeah I just paid a shop a lot of money to fix the AC in my Jetta that I drive to work everyday. I hate it when im sweating in NYC traffic. But when I'm driving my van somewhere, I'm in flip-flops, shorts, & a t-shirt. The heat reminds me I'm not going to work, and I need to put ice in my cooler Mass ventilation and cabin airflow is key. VW added wind-wings for that reason.

I'm confused.
Think for me.

At 70 mph, you can’t have a normal conversation with the person next to you with the windows down. You have to use your outdoor voice. Driving 600 - 800 mile days is way less wear and tear on you with the windows up. No I am not 70 yet. I don’t use the AC so much to be cooler, but overall even on a mild day, at highway speeds we prefer the windows up.
Disclaimer: it’s a big arse country with every type of geography and climate. So it’s not a one size fits all. The dash air lets us use the rear overhead cabinet as designed. We can pack 2 weeks of dry goods in there. _________________ ☮️ |
