Hi All!
Any Westfalia CV owners know how to take apart the rear speakers? I know the obvious answer is to toss and replace however aftermarket grills are unsightly to my eye (except for the top dollar brands). The casing seems to be shared with the MK2 Jetta rear speakers. I’m hoping to retain the housing and slide in new speakers as the originals are done. So far I have tried twisting, gently prying, heating the cover but noting seems to budge.

Quick update
The answer was heat and pry then twist. Was able to get it all apart. The plastic is stronger than I expected but with a little flat head going around repeatedly it’s now disassembled.
As you can see time has destroyed the surrounds completely. Time to grab an appropriate drop in! |
