Our trip to lake Garda didn't go as planned. We ended up on a tow truck.
Luckily the way home went without a problem.

The pulley attached to the crankshaft on the 2.5 tdi, which drives the timing belt and V-belt broke. The result was that the alternator, power steering and air conditioning stopped working. So we called the tow truck, which brought us to the next workshop to repair the van. After they had the spare part, it was a quick fix.
It's a common problem with the 2.5 tdi's that this pulley breaks eventually. |

I love the Colorado Red - I would do many illegal things for a 2.5 TDI, though.
thanks for update. _________________ .ssS! |

I love the color too. Especially because it is rather rare in Germany. I think the 2.5 tdi with 151 hp and manual transmission is the best choice for the Eurovan |

Yes around 1200 to 1300 kg. The van pulls the trailer witout any problems. But sometimes I wish that the van would have a few extra hp for towing |

Used the van to haul around six passengers, two e-bikes and a ton of photo and video gear for a shoot at both Fort Baker as well as in the city earlier this week. She was pushed hard on the steep hills of SF, but chugged along without any issues.

Da TOW'D- I looked at some other photos in your gallery and couldn't help but notice the fog lights and auxillary lights on your van. Can you shed some "light" on these upgrades? _________________ - Bill, '93 Eurovan Syncro Weekender (2.5 manual ACU) |

The Deer Slayer's new grill
zap strapped a 240 Volvo grill to protect the oil cooler and radiator after the deer encounter
The lower LED lights I thought would be helpful in the fog.
The Blue driving light are hooked up with a relay and switch to the High beam- They throw a beam past the headlight's high
I plasma cut the holes
My license plate is a bit messed up from pushing a friend off the road when he broke down in a construction zone. His tow ball hitch did the damage
cheers
