Soon the New Cnc'd shifters will be available. Curious to know what people would want color wise. Raw aluminum shaft or powder coated black or brown. Any feed back would be appreciated!

I vote black. More details on how it interfaces with the rest of the system would be welcome.

It connects to the factory Vanagon shifter linkage as the factory on does and also the modified subaru 5sp transmission kit I offer.

Would also be nice if it accepted the Momo shift knob.

Would you like most, the extension or the shaft to be longer to start with?

Hmm, good question. I suppose if it were capable of accepting an extension that would allow for a degree of adjustment.....

Just having it longer with a bend would be the best, adding height adjustability would just complicate matters and increase the price, I would think.

I would add 2" to the stock length and leave the top straight. Stock 14x1.5 thread.
You could offer a Momo adapter. The Momo knob slides onto a sleeve and clamps with 3 set screws. I made one (not interested in making any more). The dimensions, i.d. is taped for 14 x 1.5, x .608" o.d. x 1.500" long (minimum).

Am I the only one who doesn't undertand how to attach the shifter cup to the floor and how to connect the shifter rod to the vanagon parts?

Nicely built stuff, it looks very well done and bullet proof Cool

The picture I posted can be a little confusing ALIKA T3. The picture is of the last prototype with the round base for ease of fab. If you look at the pictures in the Samba classsified add you will see the cad drawing of the cup, with the square base.

Here is a pic of the lower connection piece installed.

Later vanagons have the 14mm x 1.5 thread. Interested in thread and pitch of early vanagon shifters also.. believe it is 12mm x 1.5 or 1.25. if anyone can measure it would be greatly appreciated!

I guess I'm the only one with a brown interior.. Sad

I also vote longer w/ extension. I like the ghetto lean in my chair haha.
Would this work with 80-early 83 models? I was under the impression the set up was different. Maybe a whole linkage is in order for them since lots of the parts are NLA Wink
