If it is / VW there would be a part number on it--especially being plastic.
If not-- it's just a freeby you found.
Someone on the assembly line tossed that in there for a moment just like this.
Look inside of it, there might be a deutscmark, or an SOS.

Definitely vw but half the part # is obscured.
Tossed it in there is exactly what it was.
Right in the hole of the door behind it.
