If a 2.5 blows a headgasket, how likely is it for the engine to be damaged? I know there are a lot of variables here,but... Is it most likely just going to need a head resurface, and new gasket set?

Also when the A/T trans is setting codes, not shifting, etc is it usually fixable with new solenoids, fluid change?

I dont own a eurovan, but I am considering one. I am looking at inexpensive. And I have seen a few with transmission issues, also 2.5 blown headgaskets.

Thank you
