Time to start thinking about the winter projects,

I have an 82 Diesel heater core I pulled from a clean low miler a year or so back.

I am planning to have it cleaned out / pressure tested / recycled into my 86 gasser.

Question 1: Diesel vs Gasser heater cores. Were there any differences I should know that arent apparent as far as heat output, etc? I suspect they are the same size etc.

Question 2: Blower Motor replacement quality. Bosch ones available here are about 200, Febi-Bilstein are about a third of that, Ultra 8 and others are even cheaper. where would you put your money ??

Used to be you bought Bosch and were done with it. The more I read about their starters, alternators, etc, it seems they have the same issues as most other lower end companies but at a higher price.

Question 3: Wiper Motor R&R. A wise man once said ( I think it was wildthings ) to do the wiper motor and all that R&R since you don't want to go back in there after the fact. Febi-Bilstein seems to be the one I can source in Canada around 55 bucks. Comments ??

Geez, I better do the jeep resistor too while I'm there ! Oy, it's gonna be a loooong winter ! And I don't start any of this until my new TiiCo motor is up and running !

The heater core is the same, Gas/Diesel

The baffle plate is listed as a different part number for the two.

On mine, I left the baffle plate out anyway, it just seemed silly to block off so much heater core...... The heater works great! Why it's there? I'm sure there is an engineering answer but it eludes my simple mind......
