Hi,
I bought a pair of front door window latch and I have seen they are different to the ones it comes with my bus.
They are specific for some years or there are 2 designs ?
Thanks.

Sorry about my english.

There are a couple different manufacturing processes for making the same part through-the-glass window catch. It's your preference which you like. The cast slag metal ones I dislike. Try to keep like makes with like makes' parts.

I sure am glad I came across this post. Nothing urgent just one of those "I wonder if..." kind of thoughts. Are these catches spring loaded? The one of my drivers' side acts like it is while the other is just plain lazy, requiring you to push it into the notch.

Are you asking for a breakdown on the Sigla slider latch that rides on the window slider instead of going through the glass?

FYI-Basically NONE of the parts for the "through the glass" latch will fit the Slider Latch. The screw and washer are different as are, obviously, the other latch parts. I think the spring will interchange. The hard one to find is, naturally, the DS latch. The UK might be a good place to look for those Wink

Thanks Guys! Is it going to be a royal PITA to get those screws loose? It is a rhetorical question because i am sure it will be!

The screws that mount it to the track?

Probably not unless they are frozen.
They do have little lock tabs so you need to bend those open first.

Looking at my parts book, it looks like M5x8, "high polished galvanized"

They do look to be 8mm long

I was wrong above - You do NOT have the bend the tabs open, they unscrew without "unlocking" them.
