I have a locked out Magnaspark distributor and just installed a black box due to installing a draw through turbo. It starts and idles but quits as soon as I try to set the timing to 15. That's the lowest in the timing table. Also does not rev when timing is even close to 15. It's almost like the rotor is outside the the range of the cap because my timing light also stops when I get close to 15.
Am I doing something wrong? I've searched but have found anyone else having the same problem. |

Could you have all your plug wires shifted one spot?
Sorry. I don't know anything about the black box. But if your wires are all shifted one spot, the rotor phasing will be way off. If you have some sort of high voltage system, the spark may be jumping far enough to run? Idk just a guess. |
