Well shit, it has been a while now that I think about it. After moving back up to Seattle from San Antonio at the end of 2010. It was shortly after that I sold my 1963 Sunroof notch. Diving into to Baydom with both feet. This the end of notchboy they said
So how the hell have you all been? Me I got one of the best jobs Ive ever had, broke my leg, bought a couple buses and trailers, bought a sweet new home then lost my pops last April after going through the death of my girlfriends pops, had melanoma under my nose........you know life.
Not trying to sound braggy at all but things overall have been really good - other than life's speed bumps dealing with death. The broken leg thing worked out for the best in the end and the melanoma may of been an improvement on a tired canvas But we made some lemonade nonetheless and spiked it with rum
San Antonio is a tough town to do work in. If you are making it in the South-South East, my hats off to you. Im glad I moved here for sure and had to start up all over again.
Enough of that bletch! Whats for Desert? Well its a 1964 1500S Nutria Notchback is what!
This last Summer, I was able to get away from the celebrations of my fathers life to visit the boys in my home town Pedro, Jack and Mr Hedges himself - to enjoy some of the celebrations in my life! We all oogled a low mileage 65 notchback. Super sweet, super clean. That set the wheels going again and started the spark once more.
There is nothing more fun in this world than arguing with your beloved brothers over details on a Type 3. Its hard being right all the time, having to tone things back so that the other guys can think they are right, when they clearly are not. With my superior linguistic skills, I was able to distribute the proper amount of "right" so that everyone felt good or was that the beer....
That 65 was so nice and drove so well I dun got hooked again. I didn't seriously look for a notch till I got tired of my 74 Panel Bus this last month. If I would of been more serious - Id be owning 65Nsqback's 64. Its got a sunroof! But Im happy with this purchase so far - even though I haven't seen it yet. Its not perfect, are they ever? Giving me opportunity to play and fix, dress up and show.
After purchase from Mario - I asked Mark Goldsmith to collect for me. Mark is a great person to know if you want anything from Europe. He will find it, collect it and ship it. Invaluable. He has collected another side venture Ive been on as well - Westfalia Essen Trailers. I bought several to bring back here to sell. They will go into a container with the notch - time to be determined.
Here are the shots of his trip to Germany - bringing back to the UK.
Here are all the shots of the notch from Mario:

Here is a shot of the type of trailer I will be pulling behind the notch - more on these later!
So here is the weird part Im saving till last. Literally. When I imported my 63 Sunroof, it was scheduled to arrive on September 11th 2001. I awoke that morning not knowing if my car was going to be processed through costumes - what the hell was going on alls scared and nervous with a major purchase for me at the time and the fact that we had just been attacked. So here I am in Chase bank - sending Mario a big chunk of "hope these routing #'s are correct" money, waiting for confirmation papers realizing, its September 11th 2015. I just sat there and had a good laugh at life. _________________

Congrats. Can my car get updated on the website now? Damn |
I hope. Mr Walton has the keys to that. I haven't bothered him yet as there are lots of things that can be fixed-completed-added there! _________________

So, do you have a "correct" trailer hitch for the Notch? Or are you going to have Pedro build you one? _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

I will either make one out of a Vanagon Westy one or have a Pedro one made. A vanagon trailer hitch is dirt cheap in Europe. It has most the stuff you will need to modify and make a nice looking T3 Westy hitch. _________________

Yeah right. This IS a free forum.
What size are those trailers? I really dig them. Thinking about building something similar. The spark got ignited with Pedro hauling a chrome plated rack to Greg. Well that and I've got a trailer frame sitting here. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

Ok enough of that.
I have a last offer to anyone wanting to have something shipped from Europe in a container I'm already getting. So If you have something that needs to come to the states - I can get it to Seattle at least.
Let me know. _________________
