You would think Jason would be happier about his car being fixed;
Did you give him a big bill for your work, Stu?

Funny, that was my thought when I viewed that picture. I'm thinking "settle down that enthusiasm"! _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

That was after Lee told me there was no beer.
Well I sure hope that was the fix. The shaft binding in the tranny case was like the last idea that Stu threw out. This after testing and retesting the system that has new German parts being thrown at it. Frustrating to say the least.
Thanks for the fix Stuart! _________________

OK, speaking of turds, I have no idea why they painted the roof wrong. The slashing where the two colors meet, follow the windows top edge for that "painters touch" fail and does not comply with German or those weirdo Australians take on it.
Its the wrong way. I plan to go with a German style since the Oz are just, well all cocked up and legless. Weirdos.

I still can't believe that Mr. 1500 bought a fat chick. Your Bayness is showing!
Don't stop at the roof- let's soda blast that bastid, put it on a rotisserie, and put it back to original. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Nope. This is nowhere near the mass produced cheaper looking version. Oh wait fat chick "second gen" as some monkey butts call them
Its only original once. This has been restored in Germany by the previous, previous owners. Im going to undo some of the restorations - like actually restoring the motor fix the roof paint for now, and cut some holes for cool accessories like an Eberspacher B2 gas heater and Blaupunkt radio with Hershman crank areal.

I meant that you'd think anything later that a gen 1 1961-3 would be a "fat chick" to you.
Restored, you say? So those are the original factory colors? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

When you learn and own all there is to know about a thing, then the mind gets bored. Ive said it many times. My favorite T3 is a 64 Notchback. Sunroof would of been nice, but hey, I still have the Hollandia at your house right
The running joke with me a Pedro is the flip flop. What he was into for the last couple of decades and what I was has now changed hands. Im enjoying dual carburation and he is geeking on the idiosyncrasies of the old side drafts.
The buses, trailers & gas heaters. Avenues for the mind to keep entertained. Try something new and exciting. You might like it.

No, I mean restored to the car's original color. That's what 'restored' means... right? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Jason, hope you’re not going to fall for that crap again. You can’t afford to lose another car to the restoration abyss. _________________ '68 Lotus White T34 automatic sunroof

Jack, glad to see you got the spray gun brother. Ive dragged that thing from Texas to Seattle now to San Diego! Never used it.
I like the idea to fix the roof. With Pedro's template it should be easy.
If not I did find a guy that does these small jobs for a good price with excellent results.
Im having a couple things fixed at home Thursday by this guy.

So I've been on the search for information for a NOS vintage Klepper tent that I bought several years back. I had assumed by its build it was from the early '70s. Well, I was off at least 10-15 years I was looking over German eBay last week and found a 1961 Prospekt for Klepper accessories. Klepper is a well known German canoe/kayak manufacture with a unique fold-down wooden frame with a canvas exterior skin. They made clothes, shoes and accessory tents to go with your das Booting experience.
With this new info, I can now add it to by notchback accessory list. Its not specifically meant for a bus, but to stand alone as your base of operations. The model I have is called a Palazzo III. Having all the bells and whistles one could add like additional skirts to increase the footprint.
While looking up catalogs, I ran into this shot with a T3. The ones I purchased have bugs in the scene.
