Wipers are successfully installed and emblem is on 😄
Need to drill a hole for the rubber safari thingy for the wipers … scared 😱
Starting to look like a functional bus

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

It is a 64 bus
Wiper motor is a single speed one.. ? Only 2 connection on it ground
And power, original was a 6v and i converted the motor to 12v
When i power them on I’m thinking they going to fast
Switch was a simple on/off
When i disassembled the whole thing i found those 2 components
Under the dash it seem they are resistors
Could it be they where in between the wiper motor to slow it down ?
Or do they have another purpose ? Usa made ? Not original parts I guess ?

Gone make my own wiring, old one was to far gone

Front of the bus is fully wired and operational
Fuse box is not an original model… did go for an more modern,
and reliable one in my opinion.

i don't fault you for using more modern fuses. really no reason to go much more modern. of course a modern programmable PDU would eliminate all fuses and relays..... much more expensive, though.

Looks clean here.

What's the black ring at the top of the heater tube? Extra seal?

The safari latches go the other way, if you want to match the factory

it also makes it where you can actually hit the little button and turn it at the same time. pretty tricky when they are mounted the other way.

A programmable PDU would be nice indeed. Would be a waste of money and of its potential. not even one relay installed in the bus only a flasher unit, way to basic electrical system. also more used with touch display would be a shame to delete the original buttons

The black strap on the heater tube is a cable tie 😁

Did not know about the safari latches 🤔
They came like this on the aftermarket windows

Now figuring out the brake lines 🤔

Your bus is looking really nice!
If you have any spare paint for the upper body color... it's a nice finishing touch to have the emblem with the correct paint split, between the "V" and the "W."

Evan beat me to it! Such a small detail, but you will see how that little line of paint makes the whole thing pop.

It all looks great, as in exceptionally well done! Keep at it!

Wow, that is clean!

If you have any trouble with the gas pedal when you use it, it's normally on the outside of the bracket:

Notice how the linkage from the pedal is very straight

Yes, the brake line should be located between the clutch cable conduit and the flange of the intermediate brace.

Where did you get these and have the reference by any chance? Could not find them back immediately?
