Installed soundproofing 👍🏻 don't feel like a tin can no more when i close the doors
also placed some 3mm felt on the roof. Original something similar was there i think 🤔
Still need to do the compleet firewall in soundproofing and then i start on the roof trim

Such a nice bus!
The headliner install you're about to perform, I found to be quite a daunting task, but I got through on my '63. I'm sure yours will turn out nice. Take your time.

After inspecting the fabric, I noticed the first problem.
One of the channels was not completely sewn together.
So i had to ask my wife to fix this 😄

When i first installed the fabric i said to myself what have i started here…
It is very overwhelming the first time you place it.
And the problems are piling up at lightning speed 🤯🔫
started at the front around the airbox, placing the plastics behind the rails
big problem here was one side fitted nicely,
the other side was just too tight, wasn't evenly made…
but i kept going. we'll see how it turns out.. 🤞🏻

when installing the arches make sure to make
the holes in the right place on the liner channels..
it is a process of trial and error. 😓
then you need to snap the outer plastics into place
And push the bow into place so that it is under tension
Easy description but far from easily executed… 😖
you are working with fabric here,
so you have to be constantly careful not to tear it all apart.
The plastic also clicks into place, to take them out again...
Is not something you can do often. 😩

So once the first arc is in place and you're happy with it
push the plastic strips further into place
and start pulling the second arc into its final resting position
continue until the last shorter bow, that is stuck behind the little hooks

started to see a shape in it now,
didn't put glue on the sides..
just because I didn't know how I would do it...
without making a big sticky mess 😳

So i’m using some aluminum strips on the sides instead,
which I fasten with some rivets and glue,
meanwhile adjusting the tension of the fabric where necessary

still a lot of creases in the fabric.
waiting for everything to be in place and fixed tight.
only then i start to use the hot air gun 🤞🏻

the plastic of the rear hinges fits nicely and the holes are aligned properly..
it’s a miracle 🤪

on the MDF and corners... I soaked them in hot water before trying to bend them in the rear corners. When you then go slow, it (mostly) works without them breaking.
