Just wanted to send a message to the forums about a Bay Area "Northern California" engine builder. Steve goes by the handle sgmalt46 did an awesome job assembling a 36 hp short block. He educated me on issues regarding rings, and others details that I over looked. No doubt he knows his stuff and will send him any future builds. Very knowledgable on the early stuff, i.e. Pre 54. Good to know there is an experienced guy here in the Bay Area for all things mechanical on the old stuff. Would recommend any day for his services. Prices are totally fair and I'm stoked not having to send stuff down to so cal. Pm me if you would like more info.

Just purchased some good used semaphores for my 57 rag top project. Great communication, super fast shipping and priced fairly. Steve is an honest seller I would do business with again.

Great guy we had some email correspondence thru the Samba only and was the only way to communicate. It was crazy but everything worked out. He bought a Speedo from me.

I broke a window for my bug on Tuesday. Steve had the replacement to me on Saturday. It would have been Friday but my post office has been a bit slow recently.
