I thought Judson owners might be interested to know of the passing of William Haddon Judson jnr. on 21st August 2015.
Haddon was the son of the originator of the Judson Supercharger and worked with his father at their Conshohocken works in the 1960/70s between a spell in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
I knew Haddon from the late 1990s while I was putting together my Judson Register website and although jealously guarding the Judson Company name, (often threatening perceived copyright infringements by anyone making repro parts) it was only through a fierce pride in his father's achievements.
I always had a good relationship with Haddon but I'm sure he ruffled a few feathers with others. He was always very supportive of my website as he saw it was a way to ensure a lasting memorial to his father. May they both rest in peace.

I'll raise the deck lid and look at my Judson with a little more respect for the past from now on. His Dad's product really did change the personality of the stock little 1200 VW motor. Thanks John for passing on the sad news. |
