Hey guys I have read a lot of posts on here about swapping fenders. I have a 1967 with one original fender and one aftermarket fender. The car has been wrecked in the front and the original fender is in really bad shape. I am thinking about putting a matching set of 66 fenders on and I know that the headlights will be different. Will the wires running to the headlights match up or will I have to do some re-wiring?

Pretty much bolt and go..
Head lamp harness yes will transfer over... .. with one addition if you plan to use the head lamp mounted park lamps.
Reroute the park lamp circuit to the park lamp in the headlamps..
or.. simply keep your 67 turns with parks as they are.

Thats your choice.

What Ken said is accurate.

HOWEVER, do please realize that it was some sort of U.S. federal law that these fenders had to change in the 67 model year. So, if you live in a state that has auto inspections, be careful here.

I do like the vintage look better than the older look, but both look good to me (probably because I just have a weakness for any round headlight vehicle.)

I am working on a 66 right now and have not really looked at the turn signal and headlight wire routing relative to a later car. I do know that I have 66 specific wiring tubes for the headlights. The turn signal wiring tube/seal would transfer directly over for your 67, but is the the headlight tube coming into the bucket diferently? Looking at WW site - almost looks like the 66 tube is shorter. Just pay attention to that when you make the change.

Also if you need a set of really nice headlights, look at the Wolfsburg West reproductions. They are amazing and very reasonable. I am trying to figure out what to do with my stash of early headlights now becasue its not worth restoring them for what the WW ones cost.
