What is the proper name of the vertical vinyl(?) trim/seal that is attached to the body at the inside rear edge of the door opening and where can I find it. I also need the proper name of the chrome trim that sits above this trim piece on a convertible. I have searched KGPR, JBugs, TMI, TheSamba, TheGoogles, TheBings, and JCWhitney (for giggles) but have found no joy. This should be an easy one for you guys and gals.
Links are my friends.

For clarity: It is the thin, slightly curved, black mass running vertically in the left side of the picture below.

That was quick. Thanks.

Do you by any chance know the proper name of the chrome trim that sits atop the windlace in a convertible?

Windlace is right, and you can make your own, especially if you have the old ones to use as a template. I don't know about those chrome pieces you mentioned, but if you need these

let me know. They go on the inside of the door at the top where the windlace ends, but I have no use for them because my car is not a vert. PM me with your address if you want them, and I'll send them to you free, gratis and for nothing, as an act of international comity.

And just because enjoy your humour or is it humor?

Thank You,
to all who contributed information, especially Kiwighia68 for his most generous offer. Without you guys and gals The K_R_A_K_E_N_N would end up being "The Crack pipe." This is what makes TheSamba great.

The self-important, Thurston Howell III mentality boards out there should take note.

We're all in this together...
Emil

These aluminum pieces are for a lowlight coupe. You want the ones that easy e listed which are for convertible.
