HaHa! Just goes to show how much more I need to learn about these amazing works of art. Thanks for the great info, guys. This is my first time rebuilding/restoring/modifying a car to the extent I'm doing it: Full off pan resto/mod.

I should post a build thread on it in the Beetle 1958-1967 forum so that keen eyes like yours can guide me on the right track and keep me from being "the idiot who messes up a great car."
