Can anyone help me to figure out what this color is? My original VIN placard is not on my car any longer, not even sure it would say the paint code. The car was painted a lime green. I am thinking of restoring it to its original color. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

I have looked at that chart before. I was looking for opinions of what the color is. My VIN starts with 273. So the 2 colors below are possibilities. Anyone agree with that?
L 361 slate blue
L 436 indigo blue |

Are you sure it's a '60? Looks like L391 Pastel Blue or L398 Pacific Blue maybe? Not '60 colors.

Vin shows it to be a Jan 59 build, and it looks like fjord blue, a 59 color.
Edit:
Duh, was looking at the engine numbers.....Nov 59 build.

No. The way I read it, if your model is a 113, then the blue choices would be L 363 arctic or
L 436 indigo blue. |

It is a early 60 build according to the VIN (273 xxx). But I do agree it doesn't look like a Blue on a 60 model.
It could have a different body... I am unsure on this. The VIN plate on the body is missing since I have owned it. I have owned it since 2002.
I am unsure if it is a 115 or 117. I have a sliding sunroof. |

Body not original ... there isn't a color like this one for a 60 model.
Post other pictures of your body ... spare wheel area etc

I agree it does look like Capri... Check out this link. Looks the same I think. Everything I am reading is saying it is a 58 color but it looks like it was on my 1960 built in late 1959.

Sorry it is in the middle of a resto. I do kinda remember the guy I got it from saying he may had replaced the front fenders... Not sure. Here are some pics.

Yeah I thought the same thing. When I bought it the guy said it was a 1959. BUT when i got the title it reads 1960......
I am going to order the birth cert. I am also a newbie at this compared to most of you guys on the forum. What is the difference between reg and deluxe models? |
