The sad thing is there are folks out there that don't give a damn about Vanagons other than finding them for parting purposes ..... even those that could be put back on the road. |
Unfortunately, parting is a way to make a living for some folks. Stay away from old motorcycles and classic bicycle forums if you have a tender stomach. _________________ '87 Westy in Wolfram Grey Metallic |

I've been by the Pulaski VA stash a couple of times and this layout in the photo does not look like the place I know about. |
It's just south of the intersection of Woodsboro Pike and Woodsboro Rd, about 10 miles N E of Frederick MD, I've been there 4 or 5 times in about 10 years, and the owner -later the caretaker- never wanted to sell anything. I walked around the lot a good bit; many of the rigs are pretty beat up-- good for parts at best. Might be a few unobtainium parts on the field, but the vans are not worth a look unless you have your own trailer or tow-bar. |

1983 vanagon no motor or trans with title - $800 (Newport news)
Complete van minus engine and trans. Automatic (no trans) no major rust. Small spot on one window. Sliding door hinge is rusted tight. Was able to get it to open but needs a new hinge assembly. All glass good, tires are ok. Interior needs a good cleaning. Dash is complete. I do not want to part it out.
Email me if interested

yeah I saw that one,
if it were closer, I'd love me some 2tone red/white..
me I am not adverse to a rustfree (by NY standards) tintop project.. I'd Subie Syncro that tintop.
but then again I drive a Riviera and think the DIY cabinetry is in (functional) ways superior. _________________

I'd posted this in the 'good deals, nice vans' thread but this may belong here instead
'Starts, runs' (does it drive at speed?), roof might need finishing and note gutter in second image but if one can handle the colour......

Good deal for the parts, has nice rims, good glass, seems like someone needs this one

1984 Vanagon for $1200
Landlord want it removed. Bought it since 2015 but have no need for it now. Comes with new battery, need tune up to start and gear work according to the previous owner. Please, serious buyer call/text for questions. Thank you.

For the low low price of $1200 you can find out
I have no affiliation btw, just saw it on my regular search of CL for vanagons. _________________ Grant

Ten hours from Denver as the Vanagon flies...A lot of complete-looking Westies in that ad... _________________ Joe T.

That panel looks to be a Syncro, judging by the placement of the rear side marker light and the ride height.

Westy top, interesting camper interior and kitchen unit, rubber front floor mat, cubby hole instead of glove box, metal engine lid...Well worth the price. If I only had the space...
