Considering doing this task and would like to hear from folks that have done it. Degree of difficulty, what you would do differently if you had to do it over, etcetera.

Hello, you did not post a link to the GW fusebox, but the early vanagon fusebox was used in a Super Beetle. I would check Cip1 for the fusebox. Degree of difficulty? Average for someone that has not done one before.

Tips. Disconnect the battery ground or grounds before touching any wiring. Remove the 3 phillips screws that secure the box and holding frame. Carefully let it drop down and hang. Now take your new fusebox and one by one swap wires from one panel to the other. The relay sockets are a bit confusing, but a small flat blade screwdriver will help prying the hidden tabs that lock them to the box. Good luck.
