Should be a screw in them to carefully gently tighten up just enough to keep them from flopping down.

Make sure the rods aren't turning. Mine were doing the same thing and it took a while to figure out the rods are not suppose to rotate. The metal clip behind the mounting bracket locks the rods from rotating. Mine is also a 62 so I hope they are the same.

I had a similar problem on my 60 bug. I bought a set of visors from CIP. They were TMI visors. There was no screw to tighten. After a few months of frustration I ordered a set from Wolfsburg West. These did have a screw to tighten and the problem was solved. Actually 1960 is a one year only sun visor design as far as the horizontal pattern design of the vinyl but the quality of the WW visors is good. http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/cart/DetailsList.cfm?ID=113857551A

[/img] These 2 photos show both sides of one TMI visor and the lack of a tightening screw. I bought these in April 2010.

My passenger side visor keeps flopping down. Does anybody have a pic of just where this screw is supposed to be on them?

Thanks!

Note that this is on a 67. The screw in question is on the right near the mount to the body.
I hope this helps.
Good luck

I should have specified...

My passenger sun visor keeps flopping down on my '61 Beetle. So, I don't thing the heat shrink tubing solution applies to my situation.

...still not sure how the heat shrink works. And that link didn't make it clear to me. Sorry, but would you mind clarifying how it works for me?

Thanks.

Heat shrink is a plastic tubing used to cover soldered wiring connections and by a quick heating shrink down over the soldered joint.

Heat shrink in this case would act as a snug cover over the mirror arm and be being there the arm will have a slightly bigger diameter for the non-screw visor to be snug on.
