Thanks guys.
Got the body on the pan tonight. Made some grab bars out of some pipe I had to help for us lift it.

Getting there slowly, got the carbs back in, going to paint the hex bar and polish up the AC tops. Got the front and rear hood seals in..always a fun job.

Almost, I did drive the pan to make sure the trans didn't grind or pop out or have any noises, and so I could adjust the clutch where I needed it to be. Once I get some more body parts on and get the door latches in, will have to take it for a ride. _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

Got a new Gulf blue horn button, slightly lighter than my car color
Also had some rust and rusty studs on the rear ragtop bow. Cut some of the rusted ones off, made some new ones, welded them in and cleaned up the bow.
Put it back in and got the ragtop assembly on the car

You're killin' it man! I've taken a break from my build but I think I'm close to pulling the trigger on buying my interior. I want to paint my car but I have a dilemma. I still use it for the final stage of jigging up the clamps for the roof racks I build. I have to come up with another way to do it so I don't scratch and burn the car.
Your pics remind me that I'm missing that black reinforcement strip for the rear of the ragtop _________________ Check out my truck brought back from the dead... http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=420762&highlight=sprayed+blood

Put the billett signals in with LEDs. Next I need to order up some of the Porsche style fluted headlight lenses.
