After about 10 weeks I got my upholstery in. Bit of a different blue than I expected but maybe it will grow on me. Covers are easier to put on in front of a hot fire.
Matching panels:
Went with gray carpet

If you have not already i found the headliner videos that Chris Vallone has on YouTube to be a huge help with the headliner. |
Thanks, yes Chris is the man and his vids have helped me with a few things throughout the process. Took a break on the headliner to rebuild the old ragtop assembly.

That looks nice!
May I ask you a favor? I'm assembling a ragtop that someone else disassembled and the side 4 rollers (smaller ones) are missing. I'm about to make new ones but I don't have the dimensions. Can you measure the OD and the length of the 4 side rollers on the second bow (that one with aluminum profile)? _________________ The glory never gets old, just need new paint.

Put the front and rear bows in the cover and glued them in, put it on and bolted down, nice and tight.

Fantastic! Thank you very much! Your car looks perfect, I hope when the time comes, that mine will look half decent as your. _________________ The glory never gets old, just need new paint.

Lookin good. What is the material you are using for the headliner? |
Thanks, its just a TMI pinpoint off white vinyl headliner. Doing around the back window is a bitch. Just about wrapped it up today. I want to go back and address some wrinkles.

Moved on to the carpet, laid it out. Put in some aluminum grommets from Wolfsburg West for an Oval since my carpet didn't come with any. Carpet is from VDubs Upholstery in CA.

Decided to use the modern fuse block, have to mount it somehow and clean up the wiring
[/quote]
Your starter has 1 wire per post. That’s clean!! Mine has 2 on the 30, am I wrong? Im having starting issues. Don’t know if it’s my starter or ignition switch. Lights came on but didn’t start. Neighbor said maybe a bad starter not ignition switch.
Also, you switched to newer fuse box, was that difficult? I thought about trying that but it looks difficult. |

Thanks, I used a new a wiring harness for a '67 by WiringWorks which uses a 10 blade fuse block. I have 67' Wiper motor, '67 high beam switch in turn signal handle, etc. I think the ignition switch should only have 1 wire per post from the factory. You may have some accessories tied into yours. _________________ 1963 Ragtop Bug |

Finished putting the covers on the driver's seat, put both seats in with my helper .
Used this stuff to wrap the heat tubes.
Got the rear seat belts bolted in and rear window in
