The "U" shape part goe's onto your vent window then you slide/swing the other side over to your window divider (backside) facing the rollup window and it's locked The best spot is in the middle of the ven window as pictured in my old oval but sorry the pic's not soooo good so you would have to zoom the picture more to see it.

Do these Empi locks fit on the vent wings of a '72? I can't seem to get them to fit. Seems like the U isn't wide enough to have the vent wing bar fit into it.... _________________ 1972 VW Super Beetle
