Can someone post a photo of the original hardware used to mount the rear seat base to the body?

I'm primarily interested in the hardware used for the top corners of the seat base but the floor hardware will be useful too.

Thank you.

Thanks, that is great so far.

What does the other side of the threaded stud look like?

So the clamps are just like battery clamps for 67s or later VWs?

Maybe Dr. Mayes can help with a picture of the backside of the hardware?

would a 66 D cab have the floor clamps like the ones pictured or would it have something different? it has the same ones that are on the back but i have not seen anything in the floor that would accept any type of clamp. thanks for any info you can give.

The bolt is a normal carriage bolt. I'll go through my pictures and see if I have something specific. If I remember right, the bolt has no logo. The plates on the floor are the same as my 64 beetle gas tank hold downs.

Are those plate on backwards? I thought the lip was supposed to go on the outside, so the clamp was level.

Thom is correct, the plate in the picture below is upside down.

I went and took the following picture of the hardware and did notice I had the plates in their correct position.

What size are those? M8?

What is the width of the square section of the carriage bolt head?

I have a 3/8" carriage bolt and the square portion is just a tiny bit too big to slide into the slot.

Hmm.. We dont have that fancy rear seats in the Double Cabs here in Finland... Crying or Very sad

Due to some strange tax thing the DC's imported to Finland had to have a so called " temporary bench"... Not any thing like the frames posted above... Just a hinged plywood bench with some vinyl cover... Rolling Eyes

M8 is the size. As per the square portion, well, it's the size that fits in the slot. Are you sure the metal with the slot in the floor isnt messed up some how? My hardware doesnt look anything special.

No, I think it was just because I had 3/8" bolts and M8 is closer to 5/16".

Anyone have two of those wingnuts for sale? I'm missing two and they are not the same as the regular bus seat hardware.
