Hey all, for those of you who know it we got a date for the Spring Campout at beautiful KQ Ranch so reserve the date.
For those who don't, KQ is a private campground that host a free to campers vintage VW bus Campout every spring and early autumn. The only catch is we need to be there with our buses usually at 3pm on Saturday for the campers to come by and look at the buses.
The campground has all sorts of recreational facilities: pool, spa, tennis courts, mini golf, etc and is located close to Julian, CA a small old Gold mining town.
Because it is private and free to us and we don't want to lose this, no idiot behavior (obnoxious drunkeness, rowdiness, loud music and there is a quiet time after 11pm) is tolerated and anyone who would like to attend needs to contact me first to insure there is space.
Anyone interested contact me ASAP and I will let you know about space availability. We like to keep it reasonable in size but new faces are always welcomed.
For the cruise I am working out a route in the local mountains.

Ok people, it's two months away. Sergio's brother has already printed up t shirts so if you want one or two sound off on quantity and size.

I will most likely be riding down there with Dustin in his bus. It will be my first time at the kq. Looks awesome, can't wait!  Thanks for putting this on guys. 1 xl shirt for me pleeze! |

Bummed I cant make but I have plans that weekend (college visits for one of my daughters). Do you usually do another trip in the fall?

Found a cool road for the cruise. Looks like it is passable as the are a few houses. , it's called Volcan Mt. road. We would take the highway toward Julian, then the 78 Banner Grade to Wynola Eoad, then exit Farmer Road to Volcan Mt Road. Which makes a big loop through woods and scrub on a packed dirt road. Anyone ever taken this?

Weather is predicted to be dry and cool next week. Lows in the high 40s at night, mid to high sixties and sunny during the day.
