After multiple engine removals and trans removals, there is no longer a silicone bead between the two and starter as it came from the factory. While I do not fjord any deep rivers, i do get into deep standing water and mud etc... Would it be a good idea to reapply some silicone there? Is there a better product? I dont want to remove engine or trans for this but could loosen the engine to trans bolts a wiggle engine back enough to squeeze something in there. What says you syncro experts? I have also heard that there is another piece or something that goes just at the bottom of engine mating area to help keep water out. Is that true?
