My neighbors 66 is leaking at the top center near that small grommet where the cable attaches? Is there a kit for this? |

You mean the sending unit?
You can get a new base gasket for it. I recommend rubber for this, not cork.
Original 60s VDO tank sending units had a rubber boot around the operating lever which are well known for leaking on a full tank. This is installed as part of the production process and you cannot replace them.
Magura brand tank sending units have an internal O-ring for the operating lever. If the lever has a set screw you can remove the sender, and go in and change the O ring out. If not, you're SOL.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |
