I just wanted to come back around for the end of the story with this. I opened my wallet and said goodbye to some cash for the Busdepot muffler.

CONS:

1.) Some of the welds appeared strained near the flange when it was torqued in (welds cracking around the flange just with installation).

2.) It came with everything you would need from the box backward. However! - no copper nuts for the flanges.. Just regular (possibly stainless) cheapies. For as much as this thing was, you'd figure they'd splurge for nice ones instead of making me go to the hardware store.

PROS:

1.) It's crazy quiet in comparison, like a new bus. Makes me wonder how long I've been putting up with the loose baffle.

2.) In regards to shape: it's very similar to the West German one that came off it and I felt like it was actually thicker.

Not perfect, but I would buy it again after holding it in my hands/having it on the bus.

Has anyone found a source for the exhaust donut? #11 and 12 in the diagram.

I posted these earlier and took them down because the quality was poor. These are a little better.
