Thanks Brent! Well with no school for the foreseeable future, possibly not at all for the rest of the year, I have a large amount of time to work on this thing. Tonight I got the fenders in epoxy and wet sanded the rough spots on the body. Thursday, I'll probably put on the high build.

Thanks guys! Got two coats of high build on, blocked in 180 then today shot another coat after work. One more sand with 600 and should be ready to paint.
I’m sure most of you know Wolfsburg West is closed. They’re the only place to get the interior paint. Anyway, I work at a body shop and asked the painter if he knew how to get a Glasurit code converted to PPG because I was gonna get a can made. He said he didn’t but if I can get the RM code he’d see what he can do. Convinently Glasurit and RM are the same parent company so I got the code and should be able to get some legit paint 👍.

I have loved following this rebuild/resto/rebirth to date and I'm super pumped to see it get to this stage. Paint is super exciting because thats when all the "invisible work"(i.e. welding, sanding, filling) really starts to shine, but I always found post-paint to be the most annoying! Now you have to spend a few hundred more hours re-installing stuff with the care and thoughtfulness required to not scratch the crap out of it 
The trick for keeping a paint job beautiful? Housekeeping. Keep your tools in your toolbox or on a bench when not in use - tools in pockets or on seats can scratch finishes and puncture upholstery. Keep the area around the car clear so nothing can get knocked over or tripped on. I can tell you the stories about where all the nicks came from on my car before it ever left for its first drive! (lookin at you, shop-light  ) I know that you're aware of these things but hey, so was I and yet theres a special type of mindset when you're in your own garage... i cant even explain it! you just forget!

Oh man, watching the primer spots on the dash disappear was fantastic LOL. I have a lot of wet sanding to do, I seem to have a problem putting paint on a little too wet I got the pans painted in Rustoleum last night, and it really smartens up the car when it's all one color. Once I touch up a few spots, it's off to the body shop to get the exterior painted!

I assumed these Kinds of accidental chips and scratches only happens to me! I swear I do more damage to my cars than anything.

Well it's gotten a redo on the interior as well as some raptor liner on the underside.
Here's a shot of the L43 as well. Looks quite a bit darker than the rattle can from Wolfsburg West if I remember right. This is almost the exact mixing formula from BASF, the white was discontinued so if anything it would be lighter since the new white is stronger, but it looks dead on.

Thanks guys! Got it home from work tonight. Still have to do the fenders and the license light cover. There are a few spots that need to be hit with 2000/3000 grit 'cause they went dry but overall it looks great. Ordering some seals and stuff tonight and it's time for assembly.
