It's easy to install those snubber brackets on an early box, maybe they were relocated?
The wheel cylinder bolts are in a different spot and the big nut boxes have the cap on the inside. |

By the looks, rust and age I'm pretty sure the snubber mounts are OE, plus the welds look original. (I've R&Rd snubber mounts before.) The inner housings do have the big plug and I'm pretty sure the WC is relative to the outer housing. I think this abortion had early brakes on it which matched the outer housing.
I've just never heard of small nut outer stuff on a BN inner housing/tube.
The bus is a '60, the tranny housing appears to be '67 (12v) with the ends of the axles converted to SN. Odd. _________________ '66 Deluxe Bus

Does it appear that the dowel pins were ever removed? |
