Found a bargain on EBay - guy had two pairs of G60 calipers that were rebuilt by Porterfields plus some custom pads and a spare rebuild kit. 219.00 for pads, 4 calipers and rebuild kit! Time to get cracking on my big brake upgrade. Anyone use any particular vendor for the 276mm x 25mm rotors. Slotted and vented or just vented? I will be selling the extra pair of g60's calipers . . .

That auction was a good deal.
It was a relist believe it or not.
Someone won it and than didn't pay.
Dumb dumb move.
Glad you snagged them.

I thought so Dylan and these calipers were not Cardone or other units - Porterfield does good work. I thin I will pay a visit to my machinist tomorrow to get some M8 8mm spacers made. Anyone have a template so that the new carriers can be drilled correctly? I suppose I could just pull old calipers/carriers and have machine shop match spacing

Just a suggestion, Warmblood, but if people knew where you lived from your signature there may be someone who has a caliper/carrier you can borrow for your machine shop. If you lived around here, I have several for instance.

Yes, have them match a Vanagon carrier.
Many have called Small Car and purchased or were given the spacer they have had made.

Thanks Doug and Dylan! Most likely, since van is being worked on, I will remove one of my calipers/carriers and have machinist match or ValleyWagonWorks is down the road from me (nice guys, great shop, highly competent) and perhaps borrow one from them. On to bigger brakes! There are a few hoses to replace, does anyone offer syncro brakes hoses with outer wound spring covering (like certain german ATF line that connect to radiator) Not really a fan of the braided stainless lines, thanks!
