I guess this means that you’re not going to replace that whole window frame section. Good deal. I didn’t think it looked that bad. Looking good! |

just a tip here also for anyone doing the nose/ lower frame:
The Klassic fab nose panel wiper holes DO NOT line up with the factory windshield frame. If you line up the wiper holes the panel is off left to right and it sits way too low leaving a (relatively) large gap at the lap joint. There is a 90 degree bend at the top of the nose panel that is supposed to interface with the frame but I found that when I pushed the nose panel up to where both 90 degree angles meet the holes are way off. I suppose pretty much everyone uses the lower frame when doing a nose but if you plan on saving your frames and tucking the nose panel there are some differences between the two. Kurts video also points these differences out as well as the very ends of the lower frame where you hammer the flange. The KF frame seems to come up short there even with the KF nose. I think there are just too many angles at play there for it to fit right out of the box. |

You can rest later. Haha
It is definitely hard to make time for everything. Do what you can do. |

Haha, exactly! I spent too much time resting the first six months of the project that's for sure. Had to get off my ass and make some progress.

No doubt! I'm convinced there is a time machine somewhere down in TX.

Picked up two push button doors, the drivers door should give me a nice section to repair the lower hinge on my original door.

Three or four projects all going on simultaneously
Had some time to work on the long rocker last night, I had a small "upheaval" after welding. Frustrated, I grabbed my metal hammer and set about making small taps right on the ridge area and to my surprise it actually smoothed the area out considerably. I think it's at a point now where I am satisfied and I can stop thinking about cutting the entire side out and replacing it

I’m glad to hear the hammering worked. I may have to try that as well. That panel looks good! |

It actually surprised me! There is some filler work that will need to be done but that long side was such a mess to begin with I can't ask for much more. I have not plug welded the braces behind the panel so maybe since it had some "bounce" to it when I was hitting it it was able to absorb the blows and not dent inwards.

Had to cut out the lower hinge and replace with a donor hinge section. No pics of that as it was tedious and horrible. Door fit is decent now. Passenger needs hardly any work so doors will be done soon. Looks strange with a door on!

Wow. Everything is lining up nicely. The door hinge repair is not fun. I put mine off for a long time. Looks like you nailed it! |

It was such a pain hanging the door about 30 times by myself but in at a point where I am satisfied now. Shuts with a "click"!

I ran a brand new one last summer before I really just went all in on this thing. I got a little ahead of myself installing that lol
