Beware of Ryan Garrity in Westlake Louisiana

October 2015 I ran a WTB ad on the Samba: Wanted Rear A/C unit for 85 Vanagon Westy since the van I was working was missing this. I didn't care if it worked or not just that it was the correct one to fit in the box over the bed in my 85 Westfalia. I was contacted by Ryan Garrity in Westlake Louisiana, he told me he had one and would send it to me for $100.00 Payment was to be made by money gram at Walmart where his wife worked. It has been 4 months now band all I get is broken promises, excuses and nothing else. I told him 2 months ago that if he cannot send it to me to please refund my $100. He wont do that but told me to send him $70 to cover the additional shipping cost it will take to send it to me, I declined. He just told me he now wants $150 to send it to me! Again I told him to just send me my $100 to end this headache! Beware, this could happen to you!

I looked up who emailed you and added his email to the title of this thread.

I looked up his email on the site and he is banned.

This was a Nigerian scammer who emailed a bunch of people saying he had various parts for sale.

Your money is gone.
It sounds like he is trying to scam you out of more money.

Did you send you photos of the part?
Sometimes they do that, they find photos on the internet.

I can see I blocked him last year.
The site sends out an email warning people when I block this kind of scam.
It sounds like you missed getting that email for some reason.
That sucks.
