Or is it un-abortioning? Either way, I'm getting rid of the fake split. This will a long slow procedure. I want to get the baja on the road first. The clip is a little crustier than I thought but, it should work.

No full resto, just losing the split. Not tired of peoples comments, I enjoyed all of them. Its just that after 8 years its starting to crack, figured I'd fix it the right way.

Shame about the cracks Shano, looks a nice car.
I just finished replaced my rear window sill because of rust. I took it right out and un-folded gutters as that meant much less welding.

I would do it this way if you are able, worked for me anyway.

I think it's a good idea. If you still wanted it to have the split window, keep it. If you're ready to put it back to correct, all the better. I have always kinda thought that your car was too nice to be faking the funk. Post pics.

thanks for the tip ragtop. I have a buddy helping me, well, more like the other way around. I am not schooled in body work, as you can tell..lol I'll run it by him and see what he thinks.

Sorry Caleb, its gonna end up falling out on its own anyway.

Take one good last look, I'm starting to gut the car. It'll go in the body shop next month. Took out the rear glass so far

Made some progress. Gutted the interior, killed me to pull down that headliner, it took me so long to put it in. Still have to clean up most of the bondo. Hopefully goes in the shop next week sometime.

Finally dropped the car off this morning. It's at congers collision where Chris Vallone has his body work done. Hopefully it'll be done by the end of this month.

Back from the body shop. Looks great except the color is a bit off. Kind of hard to match up 10 year old paint. It is what it is, can't afford to repaint the whole car. Waiting on carpet and headliner.

Looking great Chris. Your car is so nicely sorted nobody will notice a slight tint issue but you. You can edit your signature description of this car now.

Thanks guys! Color is more than a bit off. Doesn't look so bad inside but outside is a different story. Should've had him do the hood then I could say it's two toned now. I got the peel and seal yesterday, I think I'm still a,week or two away from the headliner and carpet. Lol, I'll edit the signature.

Little progress today. I put down some peel and seal on the luggage tray. I was going to post some pics but it looks horrible. Good thing the carpet will hide it. Still waiting on the headliner and carpet, hopefully this week.

Lol, not much progress at all I'm afraid. The car kind of got pushed to the back burner. Hoping to get at it this weekend.
