Anyone else buy a pair of these from the eBay seller in this post?

I bought a pair on the 14th and they don't appear to have shipped yet. The seller has not responded to my inquiries.

Hi Ben,

That's funny, I sent a few questions to the seller (ffantazija11) and found he always responded quickly, usually same day or next day. He shipped the seats right away and they got to Port Angeles Wa in just a few days.

Maybe try messaging him again?

Yea pretty strange. Sent a message on 4/19 and again today. Had a tracking number since the 15th but is just says "ready for pickup".

We shall see.

Well I finally heard from the eBay sellar ffantazija11....

As I feared, he sold me seats that he did not have. Not sure why it took him 8 days to admit it but thats what happened.

He said he had employees that were stealing from him and that left him short handed. I guess that caused him to become a worthless asshat that candle handle the simple responsibilities associated with selling on eBay.

I guess this isn't happening for me after all.

Still trying to decide this or a set of covers from Sewfine. There's a guy on Craigslist that sells seats, but I emailed him and no response. Last time I conversed with him, he was an itinerant seller, who travels the country with his wares. Told me he would be in the DFW area on certain dates. Same guy?

Looks like the same guy, yea.

He's pretty well reviewed on eBay and a few folks here have had good experiences. I jumped on buying a set as soon as I saw this thread, fearing he may sell out from exposure here.

I'm watching his eBay account and may end up trying him again...

I want ahead and bought the Sparco brackets Gowesty sells with their recaros. I don't have swivels.

I don't have the swivels either. The seats come with their own sliders and adjust bar, so it would seem kinda redundant to add a set. I may have to come up with a different method for adaptation than the OP.

The Recaro's that GW sells have wider apart attach points than the Chrysler seats, so their slider system may not be what I need. And the Westy swivels are super pricey!

My plan is to mount the Mopar seats to the GoWesty sold Sparco sliders using a couple of pieces of square steel like FreshDub used, only perpendicular to his mounting position.

It looks like Alistair did something similar here but used spare/ modified Vanagon sliders instead of the sliders from GoWesty.

So did a quick and dirty frame to try an idea today.
If you put thedrivers side seat on the passengers side, then the seat belt buckle is out of the way, the recline lever is on the inside (not the door side)
and the cup holders are in the aisle.... Very Happy

The cloth seats all seem to have this cup holder feature Confused
anyone else have this?
Stock tintop seat still in the drivers spot...see the difference in height

I'm so liking these seats, the fold flat feature , the nice recline, the anchor points for kid seats will be great for my seat back storage.
A quick comparison of height and leg length makes me want to put a swivel on the passenger side....Yep I will
Also the under seat storage can be huge Shocked i'm going to make a mounting plate out of folded plate steel....pics when its done Very Happy

Mine do not, but it appears that you have an earlier model seat, perhaps?

These have a folding headrest and seat heaters:

I believe that you got earlier seats(or non grand caravan?), the '14 cloth and leather seats that I saw in the town and country at the dealers look like the OP's.
Interesting to see the differences. The integrated cup holders are a interesting feature.

Forthwithtx (Karl),
What color are those? Looks like a sort of tan/beige, is that correct? Similar to early Westy interior colors?

I really want a set of these but want them to match the existing interior, if at all possible.

Thanks so much for your insight in advance!

Chris

I think the OP mentions that they are a fairly close match. I'd call them a shade darker, or more towards the "cool" side of tan. These particular seats are on their way to benandmj, as I really wanted black seats, and then found some.

The guy I got the black ones from had some more like the ones pictured, as well as some black with suede inserts, and some more on the cream side of tan. Much lighter. I don't really know the palette that Dodge offers.

Still looking to hear a big mile trip review on them.
