So what is the rarest accessory you have, had, or wish you didnt pass up? I saw an add in the local paper a couple of months ago for a good condition 6 slat roof rack for a beetle for $150.00. Of course I was broke, so who knows what happened to it.

Got out bid on a complete Telefunken radio. It went for £82! Again it came up when I was strapped for cash. I've just seen the same one re-sold for over £1000! Pig sick. Best deals? 6 NOS 1957 engines & a small pile of NOS glass washer bottle kits. (Still got some btw!!) Wink

Had an EMPI "coach" wheel a few years back on a bug that I owned. Sold it for way less than it could have sold for. I think that might be the rarest item I've had.

Hazet 10mm/14mm open end wrench for pre a Porsche; God, can I say the "P' word here? It came from a Austrian man. I helped him shut down his shop in Gardena, CA. He actually gave it to me but I gave it back and told him to E Bay it. (I still don't know why I gave it back.) Anyway got a lot of early German aircooled stuff from him.
Later, Al

I like my split era fuel gauge that is mounted in the glove box door. Way more rare than the Dehne. The two Telefunken radios are cool too, but the rarest is this Phillips radio mounted in my 52. Ever see one like this?

I would like to see pictures of that. Are you sure it's not the '58 Deluxe model?
