Kinda along the same lines. I just found this one locally. Gentlemen was a Porsche guy from back in the day who bought it new and never installed it.
Pretty stoked to say the least.

NOS Empi vacuum gauge. This is definitely one of the rarest empi gauges so far this Is only one of 2 of these known to exist. My friend actually found this and passed it on to me.

Fair enough. Thanks for the replies - I'll leave it on the shelf and pass it on for my kids to argue over!

The stamped metal type like that don't seem to be tremendously popular. Even the far superior HULS type that do sell for good money often don't get used because people don't want to cut their seat.

I'm not 100% sure about those exact ones but those sorts of recliners are not rare at all
Here's another similar one
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2167963
It hasn't sold in 18 months so that is too much money

I'm not sure of the value but I swear I've seen those at swap meets for like $20 used.

I see an older ad from this year for an NOS set like yours for $50.

I believe someone has reproduced them in the past as well.

I have this, not sure how rare it is? I was going to fit it in my '58 but never got round to it and probably never will. I think I will sell it on to somebody who will appreciate it more as it's just sat on a shelf in the garage.

Not super rare, as they are out there. But, super stoked to find one NOS.
Also was able to find the correct style hanger as seen in the accessory catalog as well.

Very cool EMPI AM/FM radio. I have a couple of them myself. They are super rare. You are right, the AM only are fairly common. Do you have the knobs & correct faceplate for your 67 Bug. Sapphire pieces will work but the correct ones are a little different.

If you do not have them, PM me. I have some.

Bought this Empi AM/FM Stereo this weekend from the original owner. He said he bought it for his '71 bus back in 1973. He wanted a Blaupunkt but the dealer "wouldn't install one for me." He bought the bus from Wolff down in San Diego but thinks he may have bought this from Jack Feely in Redlands. Anyways, his wife got pregnant shortly after he bought this and he traded in the bus for a station wagon. He said he never got around to installing it. Unfortunately he didn't have any other parts Sad

One thing that's different about this stereo is that unlike Thornton's AM/FM he had and the other that's been pictured in the thread, this one came original with both AM and FM lettering.

This stereo will go along with my Riverside 500 in the L41 '67 vert Laughing

Hello all.
I don't post on here much but I just scored a pretty rare 'accessory' recently so I thought I'd include it here.

Does anyone know how many of these were made? Is the dash plaque from the first Bad Camberg show, in '79. Mine is still in its original faded old plastic sleeve - I think it must have been in there for the last 39 years as it's completely mint.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

I just need 2 & 3 and my collection will be complete! Very Happy
