Do 01-03 EVC's truly have electronic stability/traction control?

Another 6" of snow this morning, I'm impressed with VW's EDL. I have a very steep concrete driveway, backing in I put one front tire on the dry spot where the van was before, the other front tire on packed snow. Climbed the driveway adequately. Still had some slippage from the snow side wheel, but it kept climbing. That's about all you can ask from a 2WD, especially a heavy vehicle.

I was in some pretty good mud this past weekend with my 03 EVC. It pulled through it well. You could feel the EDL engaging. Didn't get stuck.
