I've seen that early 911/912s had a factory option rear nudge bar that attached between the bumper uprights. Was there something like that for the front? I've searched a lot of photos online, but have only seen the rear bar. I did see there were aftermarket front and rear bars, but I'm wondering about something from Porsche. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

Yes they came as a front and rear option. Sold my front one off my `69 - 912 to some girl in Calif. a year ago (got $100 for it ). They are rare. Keeps fools from backing into your hood trying to park. A good machine shop could make one and then have it chromed (it's just a curved piece of pipe with two pieces of metal welded to the ends). |

Interesting. I just cannot find a picture of a 911 or 912 with a front bar. _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

Here is my '66 912 with aftermarket Amco nudge bar. There is also a factory nudge bar that mounts to the face of the bumperettes and not in between. And a factory one that mounts in between.

Thanks for the photos. I have seen the Amco rear bars, but not the front. Still curious to see a factory front bar installed on a car. Seems the factory front bar is pretty rare, but does that make them desirable? _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

I finally found a picture of a car with the front bar I was asking about...
Anyone have an idea as to what the value of one of these would be? _________________ I will never lie, but sometimes the truth changes.

If you had the rear one to go with it Probably $500-$1000 for the pair. Might be real hard to sell it unless you find someone that has the rear one and needs a new front one because of damage. I don't thing a vintage Porsche owner would just add a front one. So if you find someone in need $250-$500. Post a ad under Porsche parts and see if you get any takers. |
