Hi! So I have a '71 Westfalia and it needs a new front beam. I found a front beam for sale but it's from a '74 so can I use that. Also I'm wondering if anyone makes the orange/yellow seats for the back because mine are ok but I may want to replace them. Thanks!

71 - 72 beams are the same and used the same brake booster and bracket
that it bolts to.

In 73 this changed to a different booster and bracket along with bigger
front calipers and rotors and a different proportioning valve.

I believe Sewfine sells the material to redo the mustard colored material on the bed rear seats.

The booster bracket is the same on all 71-79 beams, I believe. I put my '71 booster on a '78 beam with no problems.

Ok thanks. I believe I heard they are expensive so I'll be saving up some money.

So does this mean I can put the 74 beam on or will it have the bigger calipers and rotors and proportioning valve. Or does this not even matter?

Ok sorry didn't see that. If I get the '74 beam I probably will just put the '71 parts on. Also, Joann fabrics sells marine grade vinyl in the same mustard color for 15 dollars a yard.[/u]

The beam is the same. Spindles are different dur to bolt sizes. It will all bolt up.

Where in CT are you? I have some useable camper seats that I would love to get rid of. I think I have the back seat and some of the jump seat. Could use a good cleaning and isn't perfect but not all shreded to hell either

Their beige doesn't look quite the same as our beloved mustard, but that looks to be good fabric at a decent price! Thanks for the tip!

Hi again! I know the answer that a '74 beam fits if I put '71 parts on it so I'm assuming the same can be said for a '75 beam. Correct?
