Good efforts and ideas gentlemen!
Captain, that was what I was thinking, if I can get the material to cooperate enough for me to clip it down on a couple sides.

THall,
How did they turn out, and how are they today, did they want to shrink back up??

Soooo....I have been unable to resume my original vinyl door panels, which I'm still really bummed about being the case.
Now my real dilemma, what color vinyl do I replace the panels with??? I currently have them temporary installed and I painted them orange, and they look terrible with all those holes for installation purposes, white is no where in the bus other than the sun visors and I feel black is a pretty drastic change and don't want it to look completely out of place. Any ideas, or better yet anyone know of some nice orange vinyl vendors??

Digging through some old threads I found this guy that might be able to help.

Bill Webner of "Der Wagonwerks" in Elyria, Ohio
126 Yorkshire Court
Elyria, Ohio 44035
(1-440-322-9459)

This is info. from way back in '06, so he may not be in business, but could have some orange vinyl laying around. Worth a call I think.

Those water sponge particle board kick panels are going to end in disaster. Even the door cards are only going to last 5 years maximum before they warp. I wouldn't stress about making them perfect.

I would encourage you to buy the PVC kick panels on here before you spend a bunch of time making those work.

Perhaps a local upholstery shop could help or at least advise on how to save the old vinyl.

Paint the door cards with an oil based sealer to waterproof them .
