Im in Oregon if anyone is wondering, but i am gutting my bus to do a custum interior, and i want to know if the stock stuff is still valuable to some people? its all in good shape other than a few missing pieces of foam, and it needs a cleaning up. A couple of the latches are broken but could be glued back together. Just wondering what i should ask for the passenger side closet thing that blocks the back side window, the z bed setup, and the table and small seat behind the driver's seat? the small seat is missing its foam.
Thanks!

I'm sure its worth something to someone who wants to convert a kombi or in my case where the Westy interior is trashed... but I'll also be making mine from scratch.
Check the classifieds for what people are asking. I'd think somewhere between $500-1000 for the whole lot would be pretty reasonable if its savable. A lot of the stuff I've seen has been listed for a while but you never know. I think shipping is going to be a killer on this stuff. _________________ "He pulled the mirrors off his Cadillac ‘cause he doesn’t like it looking like he looks back"

Oh, my, yes, it is valuable. For folks restoring these vehicles to original condition, there is no substitute.
But then... is that white stuff mold? Yuck! Someone's going to have to do some focused cleanup, but they are still worth something. _________________ John

Thank you for the info! Yes its this weird white mold that luckily wipes right off. its not saturated in the wood at all. In fact in one of the pictures, you can see where i made a smiley face to indicate that it comes right off. Ill clean it all up and list it here and on craigslist i guess. I think its very usable still.
Thanks again! |
