Really beatiful car, congrats.

I have a 79' one, here in Brazil is "a little" more common, hehe.

Before this beige one I have, I had a 76' blue too, I really like the blue ones.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, just recently purchased after much negotiation.
I have changed wheels and set it down a little bit. Here is an updated shot but need to go take some pictures all cleaned up still.
Have you done anything to yours yet?

Yes, cleaned up engine, powder coated tin, changed wheel to Momo, Brasilian dealer option, I have bought a ton of original parts OEM from brasil, new original door cards, carpet, kit panel, all window rubbers, original steering wheel in package, did not need them, but parts are hard to come by

What did you do with the wheels you took off the brasilia?

Anybody know if the front beam on brasilia is same as beetle? I planning to narrow beam a inch or so, so can run bigger tires in front, had to go to 155 so they would not rub but the look funny to me

I want to run 175 tires

It should be easy to tell if you stick your head under the front and look at it. I did a quick on-line search and in all of the pics I saw the front suspension looked like a Type I beam. Cool

The bug beam will work, however the Brasilia has two bolts at top to secure front clip, so the beams are slightly different.
