A local antique dealer has these and is awaiting my offer. I really havent a clue as to what they are worth.

I found an ad on here where the guy wants $1,100 for 50 of them (plus he has the projector). But I don't know if he is on point or not.

Just curious, what do you all think is a fair market value for these? 28 in total. Boxes show some wear. But records, film, and literature seems new. (no projector).

thanks for the input!

I've seen them NOT sell on eBay for $20... when they show up. Zero bidders.

They are neat but not really in demand so I would say in a package deal should be under $10 each. Preferably less.

I have one from 68 or 69 (it's for the launch of the autostick) I forget what I paid for it on eBay maybe 10 years ago. I know it wasn't much maybe a couple bucks. A friend of mine just picked up a bunch, including a projector and only paid like $100 or $200 for the lot. They're neat collectibles.

The $1100 price is way off.

I recently bought 36 boxes plus the projector for $165 at a show.

This guy has 28 of them for $140, but no projector.

I recently found the exact projector on eBay for $10. If you are interested I will look at home and post what the model number is. The manufacturer is Dukane.

These are all training modules from the late 60s and 1970s. If you found some film strips and records from the earlier "Look Listen to a Better" series those might be worth something. I've never seen them for sale (or otherwise) before.

Yes in Eureka Springs Laughing

Its was about 40 of the kits and the projector. I paid less than the $250 asking price.

Since no one has posted here for 14 years, how about an update concerning these VW dealership training aids. For lack of a better name, I just call 'em "blue boxes". There is also a whole series of similar "white box" training kits more aimed at the dealership sales staff and I have some of them too.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever discovered a complete listing from Volkswagen of all of the available "blue box" kits (record/filmstrip/student booklet/presenter booklet) and their titles that a VW dealership could acquire to use to train their mechanics various skills and updates? I have quite a few, but I have always wondered what titles I might be missing and don't even know were available...

Also, a few of my blue box kits are missing maybe a booklet, or a blue box, or whatever. It would be cool if those of us who have extras of these items in their boxes could post up what they are looking for to make their blue box kit complete. I know I'm missing at least five different student booklets to add to a few of my kits, and I'd gladly trade extra booklets that I have that someone might need to complete their blue box kits. At some point even paying for good photocopies of the booklets would be helpful. Anyone interested in trades?

Thanks for any answers or box lists that you might know of.

Here is one current ad for a few:

These pamphlets are based on those record/filmstrip sets, so this might be a start on a comprehensive list:
