Good news: the rack is here
Bad news: they dropped it
Good news: I should be able to bend it back to shape and should be able to get the shipping company to send me a check

Based on the damage it looks like they might have dropped it on the ground from a forklift that would be my guess only speculation though

this is the setup to secure the deck, the rubber is a bike tube that is one of those heavy duty kinds that you aren't supposed to get punctures, hence the thickness at the bottom. Worked out perfect because I ordered 3/4" pipe clamps and the sent me 1" and I just happened to have the tube.

Those two holes are for the ladder

I got the back piece done, will do the front one next. 4 clamps per piece.

in an attempt to keep the rack from getting to scratched up i dipped the strap hooks in flex seal about 8 times until it had a decent amount built up

A lot of these straps have plastic dipped hooks, and I find them to be much better at securing things. Just for when your bungees wear out.

Oh yeah! I've got real ratchet straps with coated ends that I keep in the bus, these are more secondary / light duty straps
